An estimated 30 million people (10 million men and 20 million women) in the United States are expected to have an eating disorder during their lifetime. Eating disorders can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. Our eating disorder program focuses on healing the mind-body disconnection through compassion, education, shame reduction, and understanding. Exploring the root causes such as family dynamics, societal influences, traumatic experiences and genetic predispositions.
Signs and symptoms can continue to develop and worsen as a person ages. Barriers to seeking support, feelings of shame and fears of stereotypes can keep someone from seeking and receiving help. We provide eating disorder treatment exclusively for adults, many of whom may have struggled with eating disorder symptoms for years.
We treat all types of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and rumination disorder. Some other specified feeding or eating disorders we treat include purging disorder and night eating syndrome.
