About Virtue Eating Disorder

At Virtue Recovery, we know eating disorders are complex and often require specialized care  with continuous support. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with anorexia, binge eating, bulimia, and other eating disorders.

We use thoughts, emotions, and experiences to gain insight and prepare for future stressors without compromising recovery. We believe in the “all foods fit” nutritional philosophy and that health at every size (HAES) is crucial for a fulfilling life. Our program combines therapeutic and nutritional philosophies to educate and provide hands-on opportunities to develop confidence in recovery.

Our Mission

At Virtue Recovery, our mission is simple yet powerful:
To restore hope, health, and freedom for individuals and families affected by eating disorders.

We believe recovery is possible for everyone, and we provide the clinical expertise, holistic care, and supportive environment needed to make lasting healing a reality.

We aim to provide comprehensive care for those struggling with eating disorders while fostering a safe and supportive environment where individuals can learn to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors, develop a healthy relationship with food, and gain the skills and tools necessary for lasting recovery.

Treatment Offerings

Residential Treatment

Residential treatment involves living at the facility and participating in day-to-day treatment  that can vary from 30 and 90 days. We work with every person to create an individualized treatment plan.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

IOP services give individuals the structured support of a treatment team while balancing the demands of life. IOP meets 3 days per week for 3-5 hours per day.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

PHP programs offer a natural step-down transition from being immersed in residential care. Programs are often during business hours and allow individuals to make their own choices after hours to practice the skills and knowledge learned.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are many warning signs when it comes to the progression of an eating disorder which can include preoccupation with food and body size, fluctuations in weight, focus on nutritional content, mood fluctuations, minimization of concerns from others around them, change in behaviors or new patterns in routine. It’s okay to be fearful of stopping eating disorder behaviors as these actions helped ease your worries about feeling out of control with your body. Eating disorder behaviors can be fatal due to the repetition of stress to the body and impairing basic bodily functions. Speaking with a qualified professional about your concerns is the first step!

Virtue Recovery prioritizes safety and would encourage those with active psychosis, a history of aggressive behaviors, self-harm/NSSI episode requiring stitches, elopement, or administrative discharge from another program to consider other programs for care. Individuals who require a vegan meal plan would not be a good fit for our program due to our nutritional philosophy that “all foods fit.” The use of feeding tubes and other enteral feeding tubes are considered too medically acute for our program and would recommend other higher-level of care options.
Treatment varies from 30-90 days depending on the individual and the treatment plan created for their specific needs. Our program is created for a 45 day treatment experience due to the structure of abating behaviors in a setting that promotes self-examination and insight oriented growth.

Family involvement is recommended as issues often stem from the family and treatment provides an opportunity to address difficulties within relationships. Families offer an important perspective in the healing process and can share insights valuable to the treatment experience. Whether you have a family of origin or a family of choice to support you, let us support you all!

We combine evidence-based therapies, holistic care, and specialized programs in a luxury environment, creating a truly comprehensive approach.

Eating disorder care is our specialty, but we also address co-occurring conditions like trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use.
